Our DnD party travels through the world of Forgotten Realms with Ilias as the Dungeon Master, and here we summarize our sessions.

Big Trouble in a Little Village

A long, long time ago, in Forgotten Realms

Weary from a less-than-peaceful encounter with the goblins, the party made it back to the village with the stolen goods of their employer. Bard the Pitt, our halfling word-smith, gets fired from the inn where he was supposed to play every night. Maybe its failure to show up last evening, or maybe it is the way he was winking at the innkeepers wife, remains to be seen. Waiting for the caravan with wounded people to come to the village so that Leander, the half-elf cursed cleric, can do some healing, the party decides to fight some spiders in the basement of a village house. Vi, the half-elven mage treats the spiders to some acid, and Kaelen, the human paladin, slices one of them in half. Bard’s attempts at offending the spiders with words fail miserably, and the party’s cleric gets critically wounded to the level where only he can heal himself (irony?). Through all that, Kowalski, the party’s sneaky thief, sits in an inn oblivious to the drama. What happens next? Watch this space! (and yes, MCPI plays DnD!)

Bigger Trouble in a Little Village

A long, long time ago, in Forgotten Realms

Happily surviving the encounter with the giant spiders, the party found themselves in the middle of a once-in-a-century celestial celebration. Just as everyone was having fun, and our thief was stealing some coin from participants, the disaster hit in the form of a bunch of wererats, one of which was quickly dealt with by our heroes. Hired by the authorities to investigate the source behind the attack, and its connection to magic coins found on the attackers, the party decided that the best person to investigate first would be… their employer, the dwarven city mayor lady Tessa. Not being able to reach her through official channels, our paladin and our bard came up with a cunning plan, which involved the bard being tossed through the back window of the city hall to ask some tough questions. Having realized that the only question that at this point makes sense is “what’s up?”, the bard decided to woo the unexpecting lady mayor instead. This endeavour met with limited success, and the bard met with a flying chair, receiving 8 points of damage (critical). Interested where we go from here? So are we! And yes, MCPI still plays DnD!

Big Trouble outside a Little Village

A long, long time ago, in Forgotten Realms

With the party bard recovered and returned to the party in near-mint condition (black eye and hurt pride) by the city officials, the part decided to investigate the rumours of a shape-shifter living south of the city. A visit to the tavern resulted in a map marker and a chicken (1 gp, 2 HP) on whom the party wanted to test on of the mysterious coins from the night before. Not being able to agree how to exactly do it, the party decided to keep him as a pet. While traveling south, the party got hired by an old stranger to help him rescue his pet wolf from the poachers. Seeking the poachers’ camp, our heroes found the abode of the shape-shifter and learned a lot about lycanthropy, for now excluding this option as the cause of the city attacks. From there, it was easy to find the evil animal-snatchers and engage them in a battle for animal liberation. With this fight successfully rounded up, the party continued deeper into the evil part of the forest, only to be caught by the trees and attacked by mysterious tree-creatures. No rest for the wicked… and a lot of fun for out DnD team!
